The Dope Oracle Deck

The Dope Oracle Deck

A 14-card oracle deck.

To use: Print the photos either at home on thick white stock or professionally. The last photo is the back for the cards-attach it by printing and gluing to the backs, or print it directly onto the backs of the cards (some adjustments in size may be necessary).

It is strongly advised that you laminate your cards. I also recommend shaping them with rounded edges <3

Clear your deck before using it! Just like your crystals, these cards can accumulate energy. A few ways to clear your cards are by using a sage stick, moonlight, or holding the deck in one hand and knocking on it three times with the other hand. Clear your deck each time you have new questions, this will release the old energy. Then shuffle the deck and you’re ready to go!

Here’s a few spreads to get you started:

  1. Draw the first 3 cards from the top of your new deck. Lay them face up from left to right. Card 1: Energy from the immediate past (recent months) that is influencing the current situation.

Card 2: How the past energy moves you forward or holds you back

    Card 3: Outcome

  2. Card 1: Recent past influencing current situation

Card 2: Who or what can be helpful in dealing with the situation

Card 3: Things to consider before moving forward

Card 4: What is the next step moving forward

    Card 5: Outcome

  3. Design your own! Check out this article for additional guidance:

Fearless (Face Your Fears):

 “I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing……Only I will remain.”

--Frank Herbert’s novel Dune in the Bene Gesserit Litany Against Fear

What makes fear so scary is, in part our inability to effectively deal with the unknown. By making our fear known, it helps to lessen it. We cannot deal with that which we do not know. Once we know it, it can be treated and dealt with.

Suspicious Minds (Trust Without Borders): Your mistrust may be unjustified. Be slightly more willing to let someone into your circle, while guarding against letting snakes into your backyard. You may also need to demonstrate a deeper trust in someone significant to you.

Endings (Goodbyes Suck): One of the core teachings of Goddess Spirituality is the eight-fold lunar cycle as a pattern-holder for the process of life / death / renewal. This cycle is reflected in the eight holy-days and divisions of the solar year as well. The pattern applies to anything with a life cycle: projects, relationships, groups, belief systems, roles we play. I find it very comforting and helpful to know that all things begin, wax to fullness, wane, then die, before beginning again in a new form with a new cycle. It helps me to make peace with whatever it is that is ending, especially when the ending is one that I choose, instead of one that is thrust upon me. However, it's simply a matter of life that there will be times endings are necessary in spite of our desires...or our resistance.

The role you are playing in a particular relationship/with a particular creative endeavor  is no longer serving your deepest self, and something must give. Pay attention to your dreams and emotions over the next several days, and follow your intuition. Trust the cycles of life that dictate new beginnings.  Don't hang onto things because you're afraid of what will happen if you let go. Endings are the foundation upon which new beginnings are brought forth.

Illumination (The Future is Bright): This is a kind universe, and everyone within it is working in your favour. There are no tests, blocks, or obstacles in your way, except your own projections of fear into your future. Take a moment and hush your mind, quieting it from worries and fears. Feel the energies of faith and hope fuel your excitement. Why would you wish darkness upon yourself when light shines all around you? Step into this brightness by lightening your thoughts and feelings. You must stop worrying, as this anxiety squelches the goodness that seeks to find you! Clear your heart of fear, and replace those energies with ones that will serve you and your family instead. Refuse to think of anything except your bright today and tomorrow, and I promise you that it shall be so. Hold positive thoughts and intentions.

Get It Girl! (Hustle): Chance and timing is on your side, magickal babe! Not just that, but your vibes are high! You're on the right track! <3

Wildflowers (Stay Wild): To be wild and free means to live from a place of your inherent worth and value. It means owning your imperfections as much as your strengths as worthy and valuable parts of yourself. We are designed with the ability to create new life. More than that, we are designed to express ourselves creatively, to value the journey of creation as much as or even more than the final product.

"Your heart knows how to talk to the dark moon.

Your cells know how to live in harmony with the seasons.

Your soul does not fear feminine cycles of death + rebirth.

She's waiting for you to reclaim your wild self."

Pink Passion (Love): This card is the ultimate representation of femininity within the deck.

You're being called to reclaim your joy in life and tale back your power.

When it comes to daily life, feeling love may actually be less important than acting loving. Close your eyes for a moment and imagine you are sitting in the center of a vast flow of love. Imagine that love is flowing toward you like water or passing into you like a gentle wind. Whether you actually feel this love or not, keep imagining that it is flowing toward you and into you. Allow yourself to receive...

Traveler (Adventure awaits): If you  have been thinking for a longer time whether to go on an adventurous journey into the high mountains or into the tropical rainforest, this card can be a good impulse for you. If you prefer modest goals, then you should know, that a train journey with a tourist guide in your hand can be also a guarantee of extraordinary experience.

Experience and discovering of new horizons are not just a matter of enormous investment or long distance travel. Sometimes, you can await adventures literally around the corner. Try to recall the activities you have planned for a long time, but you have not realized them because of a lack of time or courage. Do you want to start with bowling, painting, yoga, cacti growing or baking your own bread?

The Flame (Grow): Did you know that Eucalyptus trees do not just resist fire, they actively encourage it. They withstand fire, they need fire; to some extent, they create fire. The leaves, the bark, don’t decompose. They’re highly, highly flammable. And on a hot day, you can smell their oils. The bark and leaves of Eucalyptus seem almost made to promote fire. Some are known as stringyor candle-barks: long, easily lit strips hang loosely off their trunks and, once alight, whirl blazing up into the flammable canopy above, or are carried by the wind many kilometers ahead of a fire to speed its advance.

Another interesting fact is that Fire is the only element that shines. Water can sparkle, that’s true, but only if it reflects the light created by Fire, whether a campfire or the Sun as an enormous fiery celestial body.

This is the element that represents energy itself, and even though there is a lot of earthly energy in the element of Water, it cannot be compared with the amount of energy that lives in the Sun, even though they might be equally important to the human race.

YOU are fire, too, Beloved. Use that energy in you to reignite your inner flame, and grow! Now is the time to awaken your body through mindfulness and meditation, develop awareness, and dance with the flames of renewal in your soul!

Motion (Be Brave): If you only had 30 days to live, what would you pour your heart and soul into? What’s your passion project or life’s work that’s being neglected or pushed to the side? What’s a goal or dream you’ve deferred for far too long? Decide on one thing that’s really important to you right now... not your family or friends, or your boss or co-workers, just you. Be brave, be bold, and let go of your perfectionism.

It’s not enough to start, you have to keep moving. Even if it’s something tiny every day or once a week, keep building the momentum by continuing to take imperfect action.

Security (Home): Security is a feeling of certainty that everything is OK and that all your basic needs will be provided for. On the surface there’s nothing wrong with that. It’s great to feel secure. Abraham Maslow lists it as one of the basic human needs. If we don’t feel secure, we can’t move onto higher levels like love and self-actualization. If we have doubts about paying the rent at the end of the month, how can we possibly go after our really big dreams? You gotta feel secure first, right?

Believing that you can handle anything that comes your way is a choice. You don’t have to earn it. You don’t have to acquire a quantity of external validation to somehow earn permission to work on your dreams. You don’t need permission. You don’t need the external world to say, “OK, you’ve finally met the basic security requirements. You now have authorization to work on your dreams, as long as you maintain your current level of external security.” Yes, it really is that simple.

This card can also mean it's time to focus on home, either the physical location or the temple that is your body. The foundation of well-being starts with physical self-care. Our physical health is the foundation from which all else is built upon. How we treat and care for our body directly correlates to well-being and will impact our ability to cope with the stress and demands of everyday life.

The Light (Hope): Darkness imprisons us in fear, love liberates us from the tunnel of despair. The dark tunnel is the strangulation – it feels like one cannot breathe – one has nowhere to go but to vanish and be swallowed up into the earth’s abyss. Try as you might, you just can’t see that light at the end of the tunnel.

Is it any wonder that the expression tunnel vision is used to refer to this narrow, constricted, obsessive focus on a single idea or goal? When we have tunnel vision, we can’t seem to think of anything else. All that matters is getting through the tunnel.

Protracted journeys through the darkness require a lot of self-control. The need for sustained effort, especially when combined with problems along the way, can turn the journey into a jaw-clenching, teeth-gritting experience: a grim slog through darkness and discomfort, a miserable test of endurance and stoicism.

Worse, our ruminations can take on a sour or bitter taste, especially when we weren’t expecting the tunnel to be so long. If we’re not careful, our negative thinking can escalate, dragging us into ever-deepening levels of darkness.

Right now, the tunnel's end is elusive. While you wait, your hope is being tested. Open your gaze a little wider and see that shimmer of hope that is the light dancing in your peripheral vision. <3

Inspiration (Create):

“We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.”

— T.S. Eliot

You can wake up and sulk your way through the day, or you can start the morning off on a good foot by moving around to stimulate your thoughts, being open to new inspiration (and cultivating time for it), and tapping into your curious side!

The problem is that you’re waiting around for creative inspiration to strike. And who can blame you? The experience of a breakthrough insight is thrilling. One moment you’re lost; the next, you’re off to the races. No wonder the Greeks invented the Muses to personify this flash of creative energy, seemingly from on high.

The only thing, of course, is that’s not how it works. You can still be creative without being inspired. In reality, inspiration can be coaxed out of nothingness through your own deliberate effort.

Kindred Spirits (Be Kind): We go through life, collecting kindred spirits–people we feel connected to in our heart. Kindred spirits are individuals that resonate at the same level, or frequency, as us. As everything in life is composed of energy, we often feel attracted to some people and repelled by others. Have you ever spoken to a person who just seems to “vibe” or “click” with you? That person was probably a kindred spirit vibrating at the same energetic level as you. Kindred spirits often play a very passive role in our lives. In other words, they do not play a very major part in our spiritual growth, but they do comfort and support us. Often kindred spirits share the same personality types as us, as well as similar tastes, interests and passions. While not all kindred spirit connections are necessarily deep and soulful, some can be (these can be thought of as “soulfriend” connections).

Write the names of the colleagues and customers who you feel are kindred spirits. Describe the specific characteristics these people demonstrate that make them feel like kindred spirits.

Who has given you psychological encouragement? They may have helped you to build on your strengths, recover from a setback or whatever.

What did they do to lift your spirits? How can you provide this kind of support to your kindred spirits?

When we cultivate kindness, we never know what kindred spirits we may attract...or who we may be drawn to. And did you know kindness actually releases feel-good hormones and eases anxiety?! It even releases the hormone oxytocin. According to Dr. David Hamilton, “oxytocin causes the release of a chemical called nitric oxide in blood vessels, which dilates (expands) the blood vessels. This reduces blood pressure and therefore oxytocin is known as a ‘cardioprotective’ hormone because it protects the heart (by lowering blood pressure).”

Kindness strengthens your heart physically and emotionally. Maybe that’s why they say nice, caring people have really big hearts?
